Hospital Pneumatic Tube Design Advances with Pevco’s Compact Station

Baltimore, MD (July 15, 2010) – Pevco, a leading provider of pneumatic tube delivery systems to the healthcare industry, today introduced new installation options for its popular station, the Compact. Named for its economical use of space, Pevco’s Compact station offers high-volume material transport capability combined with state-of-the-art user controls and integrated carrier storage – all in a versatile, space-efficient design. With a footprint of only 24” x 18”, the Compact station can service tight spaces where hospital staff need full access to the pneumatic tube system.

The Compact station’s installation options include wall-recessed with matching trim frame, countertop or freestanding with its own integrated storage base. When more than one station is needed to meet the transport demands of a busy department, Compact stations can be placed side-by-side to create a bank of full service stations in the smallest possible amount of space. Pevco’s Compact Station can be combined with a carrier storage unit to keep empty carriers within easy reach and a security door to limit access to high-value items.

“Pevco is able to address the ever-changing needs of healthcare materials management because we listen to our customers and design products based on their input,” said Fred Valerino, President of Pevco. “Pevco engineers have designed thousands of healthcare pneumatic tube delivery systems – both large and small – over the past 30 years. That experience leads to intuitive, flexible product innovations.”
